NPT ball valve
NPT Ball Valve
Introduction of NPT Ball Valve
The NPT in valves stands for National Pipe Tapered threads and is the standard used to measure both valve and pipe threaded connections. There are two types of threaded end connections – the male/female threads and the tapered/parallel threads.
This ball valve is connected directly to pipes that also have threaded ends, which means it no longer needs small parts, such as bolts and nuts, to connect to the pipes. This makes installation simpler and more affordable.
An NPT ball valve guarantees a leak-proof seal. However, it is primarily used in plumbing applications and low-pressure piping systems. It is often used in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
