Introduction of Ductile Iron Gate Valve
Industrial valves are made from a wide selection of materials and ductile iron is one of the most common. Ductile iron is made from an advanced iron alloy mixed with graphite. With this combination, ductile iron gains great ductility. This means a gate valve made from ductile iron will not break easily when bent. In general, a ductile iron valve can handle temperatures up to 730°C.
Apart from ductility, this type of valve possesses great tensile strength, yield strength, and corrosion resistance. Because of this, it is commonly found in steam power plants, oil refineries, and other industrial applications with demanding conditions.
