Introduction of Brass Check Valve
A brass check valve is made from a copper alloy stronger than plastic. In general, brass is a combination of zinc and copper. However, there may be other metals present to improve corrosion resistance and machinability. Some of these metals are arsenic, lead, and aluminum.
This knid of valve holds many advantages, including corrosion-resistance and the ability to absorb and endure heat better. Another advantage is its flexibility. This type of check valve can be welded to specifically meet system and application requirements. One significant downside of this type is it could break down when there are high levels of chlorine. A brass check valve is widely used for drinking water applications.
